Hertz wanted to rev up the engines of the rental car industry by unveiling the highly anticipated limited edition Shelby Mustangs. Two legendary brands. One thrilling event.
We tapped into the rich history of this storied partnership with a customer engagement strategy that infused the relevancy of this cultural event. Then, TEAM got the adrenaline pumping with the “Drive an American Icon” campaign—including social posts, emails, the “In the Wild” promo video and campaign website—which gave an inside look into the first 900+ hp rental car. Finally, we culminated in a high-touch, top-tier press event for the unveiling of the new vehicle lineup.
With Shelby’s most powerful rental cars ever, TEAM delivered a powerful, multimedia campaign that was worthy of this American icon. We developed and managed the build-up behind the launch and promoted the partnership—all while breaking the mold of what a rental car experience is all about. The new Shelby Mustangs were given the spotlight in a content series that gave audiences a sneak peek into what it’s like to get in the driver’s seat of an American legend.
