Delivering an electrifying event for Amazon’s EDV fleet launch.

In only 4 weeks, TEAM joined partner agency HUNTER PR to create a 2-day sustainable event celebrating the launch of Amazon’s Rivian-powered Electric Delivery Vans (EDV) and the employees who made it possible.

solve

TEAM created the tagline for the event, “Electrifying Delivery.” We developed the floorplan, content, sustainable giveaways & catering, and more, at the Amazon facility in Chicago (DLN4). To congratulate DLN4 and corporate employees, we celebrated with a Happy Hour and an eco-friendly breakfast at the DLN employee breakroom. There was an upscale breakfast buffet, boxed lunches for drivers, giveaways, and a ribbon cutting. A DJ performed in a beautiful plant display. Guests took 360 videos with co-workers. Our ambassadors served as greeters, drink servers, food servers, and cleaning support.

outcome

Media and analysts saw the EDV’s and charging stations for the first time, and got inside with a guided tour from an expert. Rivian CEO RJ Scaringe, Amazon Vice President of Transportation Udit Madan, and Director of the Illinois Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity Sylvia Garcia made special appearances as speakers. Overall, the Amazon employees felt proud and appreciated at this truly electrifying event.
